which promotes energy sector
as a whole. Most major players
in Power, Oil & Gas, Coal and Renewable are its
members. These include NTPC, NHPC, Power
Grid Corpn, Power Finance Corpn, PTC, Tata
Power, ALSTOM, ONGC, IOCL, CIL, NLC, Vestas
RRB, JP Group, Bhilwara Group and about 100
eminent energy experts. In addition, it has MOUs
with leading regional chambers and specialised
organisations including Madras Chamber, PHD
Chamber, Bombay Chamber, Bengal Chamber,
Observer Research Foundation, IRADE, INWEA,
MGMI-DC, ISMAA-DC, FIPI and others work
closely with them.
The Mining, Geological & Metallurgical Institute
of Indian (MGMI), Delhi Chapter
MGMI is one of the oldest
professional Institutes of its kind in
Asia having being founded in 1906.
It has been organising conferences
and seminars on issues impacting
the mineral sciences. MGMI is a unique,
independent, non-profit organisation and
represents professionals of the minerals and
metallurgy sectors as a whole. It is manned by
highly qualified and experienced Mining Engineers,
Geologists, Metallurgists and Energy Experts.

Indian School of Mines Alumni
Association (ISMAA) - The doyens
and leaders of Indian Mining
Industry are its Members. It
provides yeoman service to Mineral
Industry in India as well as abroad. The
importance of Minerals for economic development
of the country had been foreseen way-back in early
20th century and Govt. of India set-up a world class
mining institution at Dhanbad in 1926 which was
named as Indian School of Mines and Applied Geology. Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy, inaugurated
the Institution on 9th December, 1926. The
Institution has taken magnificent strides since then
and has now been converted into IIT with the name
ISM IIT.
The captains of Indian Mineral Industry take pride
in calling themselves the Alumni of this world
Class Institution. The Association works as a Think
Tank for Mineral Industry in India and coordinates
with ISM Alumni abroad for updating and
upgrading Mineral Science globally.
